Let’s have a look at the race for to the Premiership – The Championship. And it’s come down to a three-horse race. Currently Sunderland are top with Derby sitting right them in second and Birmingham on third. Those three times are the ones vying the automatic promotion spots. Of course, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th will get a play off to find one more promotion team.
Sunderland are on a hot run at the moment having won many games and unbeaten in their last sixteen. However, Derby County who were top a long time are now finding it hard to win games having drawn their last two. They are clinging second ahead of Birmingham, who also are faltering at the wrong end of the season. Birmingham City have lost their last two by one goal to zero and finding it very hard to score goals. Sunderland seem to be the form team. Keane has come in and changed them from a team that was staring relegation early in the season and now to become a title contender. It seems quite obvious that they will get promoted given that there are only four games to go.

2. Between Derby and Birmingham it is anyone’s guess, But Birmingham are four points behind with a game hand and must be feeling the pressure. I would like to think Derby will go up with Sunderland in the automatic spots. Then the four remaining teams are playing off one spot. That would leave Birmingham, West Brom, perhaps Preston and also Southampton. And these four teams it’s anyone’s guess. Whoever has the form the day will win. My pick here would be West Bromwich Albion. They have a strong squad and although they’ve lost a few games the way they will definitely be a force the playoffs. So three teams to be promoted. My picks: Sunderland first, Derby County second, and West Bromwich Albion third. All in the Premiership next season
